The Irish Issue Cover Revealed

May 19, 2017

If you follow us on social media, you may have noticed that we were very excited to reveal the cover of our ninth issue – The Irish Issue.

For our ninth collectable issue, we have chosen Phil Lynott to adorn the cover illustrated by artist and graphic designer Emma Le Ferrand. How could we not? Our big interview for this magazine is with Phil’s mother Philomena Lynott who we flew over to her house in Ireland to meet. She talks about what it’s like having a rock star son and what her life is like now.

Also documented in the next issue, Sean O’Connor from The Lookalikes details his time in ’70s rock history and his relationship with the Thin Lizzy front man. We hear a first hand account of Rory Gallagher performing live and discover the foundations of Celtic Rock. Cormac Neeson from The Answer also gives us the pleasure of joining us at the bar for a conversation about booze. But that’s enough name dropping from us for now…

Also in this issue you can discover Irish beer, whiskey and a little thing called poitín. We take you through the best bars in Belfast and Dublin and give you all the knowledge you need to get by in the Emerald city. And if you’re from Ireland, you’ll be happy to know that we have added a few Irish rock bars to our stockist list too.

Our last issue sold out within a month and because there is only a exclusive amount of copies printed, people had taken to sites like Ebay to sell their copies on. As a few of you have got in touch, we’ll certainly do our best to point you in the right direction of a copy.

You can now get the Irish Issue on pre-order here and will be available from the 6th June 2017. Or celebrate the launch with us and grab a ticket for our party in Camden Town. But whatever you do, make sure you drink religiously.
