The immortal poetry of Jim Morrison was further showcased in The Doors’ second album Strange Days. With a bigger budget and new equipment, the band was free to experiment with sound in a way that hadn’t been created before.

Strange Days shot to number 3 in the charts when it was released on 25th September in 1967. Even though this was seen as successful, for the band it was a failure due to their previous album which stayed in the top 10 for over ten months. Its release had followed only eight months after their January self-titled debut. Now, even though it was one of their weakest in terms of sales, it is referred to as one of the greatest albums of all time. Strange Days is celebrated for its two iconic tracks ‘Love Me Two Times’ and ‘People Are Strange’.

The Doors are celebrating their 50th Anniversary of Strange Days with a deluxe edition of the record. The reissue of the band’s second album will feature an original mono mix of the album which hasn’t been previously released. The original engineer Bruce Botnick has returned to Strange Days to produce this new edition. Rare photos and liner notes will also feature in packages.
