George Harrison’s son , Dhani Harrison, has announced he will be releasing his first solo album this Autumn.

Harrison’s new debut will be titled IN///PARALLEL which will feature 10 new songs including the single ‘All About Waiting’ (above). He has previously had some releases with thenewno2 group, working on scores as well as talk of completing some of his father’s songs.

The Beatles’ spawn used to work as a car designer at McLaren Automotive before deciding to move into the music business- something he had been apprehensive about doing due to seeing other Beatles sons’ work being trashed in the press.

“If you are a family butcher, serving customers since 1870, no one goes, ‘Oh, I’m not sure if their steak is as good as their dad’s’,” Dhani Harrison told The Telegraph. “In almost any profession, even if you’re the kid of an actor, people are very supportive and want to see the next generation. It’s like, ‘Go Michael Douglas! Have a great career!’ But in music, for some reason, people tend to be very sceptical. It’s funny, because music is one of those things it is natural to go into. You hear it so much growing up, it kind of permeates you and eventually you spew out some music of your own.”

The album is said to cover his personal influences over the years as a composer. Dhani Harrison’s IN///PARALLEL is out October 6th and is available for preorder.
