New David Bowie Box Set To Be Released

July 13, 2017

Box Set David Bowie ‘A New Career In A New Town (1977-1982)’ is to be released this September.

The box sets series follows on from the award winning David Bowie ‘Five Years (1969-1973)’ and David Bowie ‘Who Can I Be Now? (1974-1976)’. The follow up will include a brand new Tony Visconti remix of the 1979 album Lodger and all officially released material between the years of 1977 and 1982. The ‘Berlin Trilogy’, Baal and Scary Monsters are all there!

The Berlin Trilogy includes Low, Heroes, Stage (original and 2017 versions) with the former being pressed on yellow vinyl to replicate its original limited edition UK release. All the CDs will be gold rather than the bog-standard silver. The exclusive Lodger mix began before David’s passing and with his blessing. Tony Visconti has remixed the album with more modern technology in Human Studios and will include new artwork. Unseen images from the original cover photographic session will be revealed.

A new compilation called Re:Call 3 will be exclusive to the box set too. It will feature remastered single versions, non-album singles and b-sides with songs that were featured on soundtracks.

David Bowie ‘A New Career In A New Town’ will be accompanied by a book full of unpublished photos, old reviews and notes from Tony Visconti.

The box set will be available by Vinyl, CD, iTunes and standard digital download on September 29th.
