Coyote Ugly opens its first UK bar in the centre of Cardiff with a spectacular show.

The famous American bar chain flew across the pond to open its first UK venue in St Mary Street, Cardiff. They came with a promise of two things for the Welsh nightclub scene – “beautiful girls and booze”. Hundreds turned up to witness the ‘Coyotes’ arriving on the back of Harley Davidsons, then head to the bar to perform their trademark moves.

For those who haven’t heard of Coyote Ugly, it’s an American bar known for the all-female bar staff called Coyotes. The Coyotes serve, sing, entertain and dance on top of the bar. The bar was so popular that it inspired the 2000 movie of the same name Coyote Ugly. Read our Coyote Ugly New York review to read more.

According to the Wales Online, the CEO of Coyote Ugly Liliana Lovell said, “We are so excited to be in Wales and to be bringing all of the fun of Coyote Ugly here. Wales already has got lots of fun but this will bring lots more. We are here because Coyote Ugly is so famous at this point and because the Welsh people actually wanted us here.”

We were hoping for a London branch but we’ll settle for a three hour train journey to Wales.
