April 4, 2017

A new documentary chronicling the life of rock star photographer Mick Rock will be released this month.

The infamous Mick Rock has photographed many rock ‘n’ roll icons across the years. He famously launched his glamorous career through his time with David Bowie. His impressive portfolio contains some of the most classic photographs of stars including Queen, Iggy Pop, Blondie, Ramones and the Sex Pistols. Now, his dynamic lifestyle is being immortalised in a new documentary called Shot! The Psycho-Spiritual Mantra Of Rock.

Magnolia Films and Vice Docs have released the new Mick Rock documentary trailer which shows the man himself reminiscing about his time with Bowie and talking about the time he almost died.

“I never slept,” Mick says in the trailer “When you don’t sleep, you get about a bit.”

Mick’s work has been widely celebrated for such classic album covers as the the Stooges’ Raw Power or Queen II. The documentary will explore the time of a man who was well involved in the music industry during the early days of ’70s and beyond.

The film will be available to Amazon Video, download and watch in theatres on April 7th.
