If you need to pray to Bacchus (God of Drinking) then the Oak and Pastor is the place to get down on your knees.

From the outside, The Oak and Pastor looks like your typical public house complete with benches and unnecessary flowers. Once The Carouser gang delved inside, we found that the place was decorated ironically with church gear. It came complete with pews and it’s own confessional box to confess all your dirty deeds over a nice golden pint.

One thing we like is a good beer garden. The Oak and Pastor garden showers glorious rays in the back that feels like Bacchus himself is glowing above us. What could be more heavenly? Quirky comedy 50s signs gave us a good chuckle whilst using the place to film our new video.

We chose this as one of our final resting places before Northern England Carouser, Charlotte headed back to her natural habitat. With good drink, good comedy and lovely bar staff that survive falling down a cellar every shift, we didn’t ask for more. Apart from another round. Praise the Lord.
