Saxon are releasing a 14 disc Box Set on the fourth of August.

The heavy metal CD box set is to be presented in a book called The Solid Book of Rock. It will contain all of Saxon’s back catalogue from 1991 to 2009 complimented by 8 bonus tracks. The 24 page booklet will print all lyrics and credits from the albums whilst featuring a cover painting by resident Saxon artist Paul R. Gregory.

Two bonus CDs are promised too- Classics Re-Recorded which was originally issued with the initial pressings of Killing Ground, and 2006’s limited edition Lionheart– rough studio mix. And if that’s not enough Saxon for you, The Solid Book of Rock has something to arouse your eyes too. Three limited edition DVDs are included that were originally released with Lionheart, The Inner Sanctum and Into The Labyrinth.

Saxon frontman Biff Byford says: “It’s worth getting just for the art work. A great piece of Saxon history and don’t forget I get to play King Arthur I didn’t get the Oscar that year or anything else for that matter….”
