Rod Stewart Tour Dates 2018

October 19, 2017

Rod Stewart will be back on tour again in 2018; this time performing his “Live in Concert” tour, a classic set of hit singles that spans several decades of his life as a rock ‘n’ roll icon. The tour begins on January 27th in Germany with six more dates to follow into mid-February. Tickets are already available for the shows, varying according to the date and arena.

Rod Stewart began his career in the 1960s, and by the mid-1970s was cemented as a famed solo artist. He continued to produce successful tracks, often with a soft-rock and new wave feel, right up into the 1990s and even to this day.

Rod Stewart has been inducted into the U.S. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, once as a solo performer and later as a member of Faces. He made into the U.K. hall of fame in 2006. Rod is one of the best-selling music artists in the world with over 100 million records sold.

Among his accomplishments, he has produced 62 U.K. hit singles, 31 of which made the top 10 and six of which made the top spot as number 1 hits. He had six consecutive number one albums and has even been knighted a “Sir” by Prince William for his commitments to music and charity. Yes, Rod’s legendary status is not born out of pop image but out of real musical achievements.

It is rare that a rock and roll legend still manages to pull off show-stopping performances well into old age. Rod Steward is now 72 years old and will be 73 by the time his tour starts in 2018, yet his distinctive raspy voice hasn’t lost its charm. And Rod himself hasn’t lost his ability to show his audience the reason for his knighthood. He went on tour in 2017 with Cyndi Lauper for a total of 18 summer dates in addition to performing eight shows at the Caesars Palace casino in Las Vegas from August to September.

Despite the singer-songwriter’s success in the U.K., there will be no tour dates on the British calendar. Instead, Rod Stewart fans will have to see the legend in action at one of the European events or fly further afield to the U.S.

The tour officially kicks off at the Konig Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen, Germany, on Saturday, January 27th. Rod then heads to Budapest on the 29th, and then on to Milan on the 31st, concluding his European dates in Croatia on February 2nd.

Rod Steward then heads over to the USA where he will play in the Choctaw Casinos & Resorts in Durant, Oklahoma, on February 9th. However, fans needn’t worry, the gig takes place at the casino’s own Choctaw Grand Theater and the usual etiquette for casinos doesn’t apply. Seating in the theatre varies in price and quality, ranging from $80-$125. This will be the only U.S. date on the tour.

The tour finishes up in South America with a concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on February 16th and Santiago, Chile, on February 18th. Anyone who wants to see the living legend of rock and roll live in action can buy tickets from Ticketline or via Rod Stewart’s website. Tickets are available now and are likely to sell out fast.
