The Osbournes Make A Comeback… Sorta

February 22, 2018

If you owned a television in the early noughties (2000s for those who hate that word) then you probably saw The Osbournes. Or a version of the programme dubbed by animal noises.

It was one of the first reality shows of its kind, following around a family headed by none other than the ‘prince of darkness’ and Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne. Through the show, we watched on as the family dealt with fame, money and dog poo. We got to know two of his teenage children and watch as they do normal things like through strops and evoke human emotion.

Now, over a decade later, the family are launching a podcast that will revisit the hit TV show. After talks of bringing back the show, The Osbournes decided that another TV show wouldn’t work but perhaps a podcast will.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jack Osbourne said, “There’s been talk about bringing The Osbournes back, but it would never work. I thought, ‘Well, this is probably the next best thing.'”

The podcast The Osbourne Podcasts will feature the family talking about their time on reality TV and will include some special guests. It will be a 10 part series which launches on the 5th March.

Ozzy is also embarking on his last tour this year but insists that he isn’t retiring anytime soon.
