King Crimson’s John Wetton Dead At 67

John Wetton dead in the early hours of this morning of Tuesday 31st January 2017.

After a long battle with colon cancer, John Wetton has died at the age of 67. John is most known for his bass career in the ’70s band King Crimson and founding the ’80s supergroup band ASIA. He also embarked on a successful solo career including the seminal album Battle Lines. His last studio work was on the closing track on ASIA’s album Gravitas and had been planning to tour with the band for their upcoming US arena tour with Journey.

John had been sober for over 11 years and was an inspiration to alcoholics. He was know for volunteering  and helping with recovery over the years.

ASIA’s forthcoming album Symfonia – Live In Bulgaria 2013 is set to be released on the 24th of February on the Frontiers label.
