Golden Showers: Champagne Is Good For You!

November 10, 2015

No, this isn’t a Patsy Stone related story. Scientists have found that drinking three glasses of champagne a week can help prevent Alzheimer’s and dementia.

The heroes at Reading University found this research by experimenting on rats, lucky bastards. They found that a compound in Pinot noir and Pinot meunier grapes prevent the onset of brain diseases. They also discovered that people who drink champagne regularly will boost their brain power and obtain a good memory.

Moving on from rats, they hope to experiment with old people next… we’d be happy to volunteer!

According to the Mail on Sunday, Professor Jeremy Spencer said, “The results were dramatic.

“This research is exciting because it illustrates for the first time that moderate consumption of champagne has the potential to influence cognitive functioning such as memory.”

So, maybe drinking religiously isn’t a bad idea after all.
