Rare Unreleased Beatles Track For Sale

September 22, 2017

A rare unreleased Beatles demo of ‘What Goes On’ is up for sale. The song is said to be a John Lennon track from the band’s early days and features Paul McCartney harmonising while John Lennon is on guitar. You can listen to a snippet above or here.

The track is a 1963 version sung by John Lennon and features different lyrics to the official track sung by Ringo Starr on 1965’s Rubber Soul. The demo is for auction via Parlogram on eBay and ends October 1st.

John Lennon has also been the subject of much speculation recently as his late wife Yoko Ono forced a Polish beverage company to change the name of its new drink. The lemonade drink dubbed ‘John Lemon’ changed their drink’s name to ‘On Lemon’ after Ono wrote to the company with a warning of heavy infringement violations. The company Mr Lemonade insisted that they hadn’t exploited the singer’s image to sell their drinks even though they used the phrase ‘Let It Be’ with a picture of round circular glasses in their marketing materials.

The Beatles’ are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Sgt Pepper this year. What’s your favourite song from the album? Let us know in the comments below!
