Jimi Hendrix Is Releasing A New Album
10 previously unheard Hendrix tracks will be released on a new record due out next year.
The album Both Sides Of The Sky will be the final part of a trilogy which includes the previously released Valleys of Neptune and People, Hell & Angels.
Eddie Kramer, the man who worked on every Hendrix recording while the icon was alive, brought this album to completion. Both Sides Of The Sky will contain recordings from January 1968 to February 1970 which features original Experience members bassist Billy Cox and drummer Buddy Miles.
The record will also include guest appearances from Stephen Stills, Lonnie Youngblood and Johnny Winter. Winter can be heard on the cover of Guitar Slim’s ‘Things I Used to Do’ while the whole of the Jimi Hendrix Experience can be heard on ‘Hear My Train A-Comin’. Stills played on a cover of Joni Mitchell’s ‘Woodstock’ in September ’69 before Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young recorded their own version.
Both Sides Of The Sky will be released on March 9th and is available for pre-order now.
