Blue Wine To Be Available In The UK

June 27, 2016

Gik blue wine made is to hit the UK market, with a promise to shake up the wine world.

The wine is made in Spanish vineyards from red and white grapes. A blue dye and an additive is mixed in for a sweeter flavour, which is news enough to make a connoisseur choke on an entrée.

But Gik doesn’t care. Their website states, “We do not believe in wine tasting rules and we don’t think that anybody should need to study the bible of enology to enjoy a glass of wine.” And according to the co-founders, “Drinking Gik is not just about drinking blue wine; you are drinking innovation. You are drinking creation. You are breaking the rules and creating your own ones. You are reinventing traditions”.

Gik have no relation or ties to world of winery and consist of young Spanish Entrepreneurs. The wine has received great success in its motherland, but is preparing to land in the UK this summer for just £7.50 per bottle.
