When Music Turned Into Colour

50 years ago, the music changed forever. Bands found colour in sound, vision and spirituality.

The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and many more were at the forefront of the movement which represented love, peace and equality. Although, an ideal notion, the movement wasn’t without dark times…

In 1967, it’s almost as if the world of ’60s rock music was suddenly given a splash of colour. Bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones shook off their boy band image and threw on their girlfriend’s clothes. Teenagers flocked to San Francisco where free love and bands like Janis Joplin and The Grateful Dead made their home. With a little help from Hendrix, Pink Floyd and even The Beach Boys, history was being made.
